Goldman Sachs Group Inc. on March 1, 2010 filed a preliminary pricing supplement related to an offering of an undisclosed amount of its 5.00% series D medium-term notes due March 15, 2019. Interest on the notes is payable March 15 and September 15 of each year, starting September 15. The pricing supplement is related to a prospectus and its accompanying supplement, both dated April 6, 2009, in which Goldman filed to register debt for sale from time to time. Goldman Sachs & Co., Incapital LLC and Citigroup Global Markets Inc. are underwriters for the offering.

Deere Reviews Strategic Options For Wind Energy Business

Deere & Co. announced that it will review strategic options for its wind energy business and has retained Goldman Sachs Group Inc. as exclusive financial advisor to assist in the initiative. The company stated that no formal decisions have been made and no agreements have been reached concerning the company's long-term investments in wind energy projects that are either operational or in development in several states of the U.S.

Millipore To Evaluate Strategic Alternatives

Millipore Corporation stated that its Board of Directors is evaluating strategic alternatives to enhance shareholder value, including by pursuing a process with potential bidders to explore a possible merger or sale of the Company. The Company has engaged Goldman Sachs Group Inc. as its financial advisor and Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP as its legal advisor to assist the Board in its evaluation.
