Merck & Co Inc. announced that it will cooperate with China National Pharmaceutical Group Corporation or Sinopharm, as part of its effort to expand in emerging markets. The company said will set up a joint venture with Sinopharm, to cooperate on vaccines for diseases such as human papillomavirus in China. In addition, both companies will discuss the possibility of marketing and distributing Merck's drugs in China.
