Quote: ATLANTA, March 4 /CNW/ - The Home Depot, the world's largest homeimprovement retailer, today announced that Bill Lennie has been namedpresident, The Home Depot Canada, effective immediately. Lennie willreplace Aaron Carmack, who is taking an extended leave of absence toattend to a personal illness.Â

Carmack will assume a different leadership role within the organizationwhen he returns.Â
Lennie most recently served as the Company's senior vice president ofMerchandising, International and Sourcing for The Home Depot. In thisrole he was responsible for proprietary brands, environmentalinnovation and providing strategic direction on products and pricing tothe Company's international operations, including Canada.
His career at The Home Depot began in 1992, when he joined as a merchantfor Millwork and Building Materials. Bill took on increasingresponsibilities and was promoted to senior vice president of Décor in2002. He left the Company in 2006, but returned in 2009 from Dick'sSporting Goods, where he was senior vice president of Merchandising,Hardlines.
